Ministry of Sports have commissioned Albwardi Engineering Consulting to design 20 sports and leisure

facilities in cities throughout the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The projects include the following facilities:

A football pitch designed to FIFA two stars standards with an outdoor athletic six lane running track with an internal throwing events field. Seating capacity of the facilities to be 8,000 to 12,000 spectators. The facilities include player’s changing and locker rooms, WC’s and showers, coffee room and a small area for prayer.

A covered hall for a swimming pool (with an area of 12.5 meters x 25 meters) with an overall seat capacity for 200 persons. A covered hall, which houses a basketball court, volleyball court, and handball court with an overall capacity for 500 persons.

Mosque with an overall capacity of 100 persons. Administration Building that contains the following: Library, Offices, Meeting Room, Conference Room for staff and members of the general public, Kitchen, Restaurant and WC.

Two outdoor football fields for the provision of training designed to FIFA one star standard. A small hotel with a capacity for sixty (60) people including full facilities and utilities. Outside courts for the provision of the playing of Basketball, Volleyball, Handball and Tennis.
